So, bah? No, Soba!

After packing, Sara, Kate, and I grabbed a bite at the Soba Lounge.



And oh my. I've eaten there before, but it's just too glorious. I love this place. Sure it's a little pricey, but when you've got your handy dandy $10 coupon, it's all good.

Where's the Sun?

Well, I've been in Pittsburgh since Tuesday and have yet to see the sun. It's been rainy and/or cloudy every day. Taking a look at one of Pittsburgh's webcams (funny thing is the time says its 2:52pm, but it's really 1pm):


Fun, isn't it? Granted, I've only been home for 3 days, but still. It's like the 'burgh is stuck in some gray bizarro world. Luckily, I'm heading out for Ireland tomorrow, and will be traveling until January 8th. In the meantime, and for all us pittsburghers, here's a little something to brighten up the holidays. Some Irish sun!

Merry Making in Florida

Sara and I visited the Ertell/Zimmerman/Malin Family for Christmas / Hannukah. Whew! What a whirlwind. Several days in Naples, then over for a quick visit to Ft. Lauderdale to see the King Tut exhibit and catch up with Seth, Julie, and Dana (yes, the niece that attacks) over lunch. It was great! The best part? The S U N. I missed seeing and feeling that bright cheerful guy. What I wouldn't give for Pittsburgh to have more sun in the winter (actually all year round would be nice).

Homer Claus is Coming To Town

I don't know who owns him - but I want to thank the owners. About a week ago, I was walking the dog down the street and there Homer stood. Staring at me, but smiling... and with donuts! Droooool.... Oh Homer, how you make the holidays for me. (Apologies for the blurry picture - I'll post a crisper one soon)
